To introduce and support the significant changes that the One Corporate System (OCS) will bring to the Institute, two test group briefings were conducted at IRRI headquarters on 28 September and 1 October 2012.

Norman Macdonald, Director for Management Services and chair of IRRI OCS Steering Committee, presented key principles driving OCS, a collaborative initiative among multiple CGIAR centers. The first test group was composed of staff members of Information Technology Services and Library and Documentation Services, and the second was a small group of selected staff members from both research and administration units. The participants were engaged in a dialogue on what the new integrated system is and what it will mean for them. Questions and comments from participants were addressed and gathered to help improve planned briefings for all staff. Announcement on staff briefings will be posted at OCS website

Meanwhile, system builders at IRRI headquarters continue work on localizing the system and preparing to conduct user acceptance tests.

Staff may send questions related to OCS at ocs.info@irri.org.
